Does the IC team manage other infrastructure corridors?

No. But there are two other infrastructure corridors that the DoL is involved with:

  • Geraldton to North East Goldfields State Infrastructure Corridor (GNEG SIC)
  • Bunbury to Albany Gas Pipeline corridor

Geraldton to North East Goldfields State Infrastructure Corridor (GNEG SIC)

For detailed information on the GNEG SIC, please contact the MidWest Gascoyne regional team within the Regional and Metro Services Division at DoL.

In 2000, State Cabinet allocated $4 million to establish a 760km long and 450m wide multi-use corridor linking the north-eastern goldfields to the DBNGP corridor, located within 50km of Oakajee.

A multi-agency team has progressed preliminary engineering investigations, Environment Protection Authority advice, heritage surveys and land assembly tasks.

Although DoL reserved some sections of the route under the Land Administration Act 1997, the project is currently in abeyance.

Bunbury to Albany Gas Pipeline corridor

The Department of State Development is coordinating the project under the Western Australian Government's Lead Agency Framework.

For detailed information on the Bunbury to Albany Gas Pipeline corridor, please refer to the Department of State Development website on www.dsd.wa.gov.au or contact DSD on (08) 9222 0555.

The Bunbury to Albany Gas Pipeline will connect Western Australia's South West and Great Southern regions to the State's natural gas supply network and secure reliable and safe energy to support future economic and population growth.
